Technology summary

Not every technology listed below is a cookie. Browser storage supports necessary preferences and secure donor access, while Cloudflare edge analytics runs on the server side.
Website storage and analytics technologies used by LinkSports
TechnologyPurposeHow it operatesYour choice
Necessary browser storageRemember consent and support secure donor-centre access.LinkSports stores the consent preference under linksports_cookie_consent. A donor-centre access token may be stored under linksports_donor_center_token until sign-out, expiry, or access failure.Always available because it supports requested site functions. You can clear it in your browser or sign out of the donor centre.
Google Analytics 4Measure sanitized page traffic and, when allowed, interactions.Advanced Consent Mode starts denied. Google receives one limited, cookieless page-view signal per route with identifiers, slugs, tokens, queries, and fragments removed. Custom events require analytics consent.Full analytics can be accepted, rejected, or changed. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization remain denied.
Microsoft ClarityUnderstand consented website interactions and usability. The Clarity script and events start only after analytics consent is granted. If consent is later denied, Clarity receives a denied consent update and LinkSports stops sending custom Clarity events.Off until you grant analytics consent; you can withdraw it later.
Cloudflare edge analyticsMeasure aggregate traffic delivered through the LinkSports edge.Cloudflare derives zone-level visits, HTTP requests, response bytes, and sampling information from requests to linksports.com. LinkSports stores normalized daily aggregate snapshots, not Cloudflare Web Analytics or RUM events.Independent of browser analytics consent because it is server-side operational traffic measurement and does not rely on our consent cookie.

Google Advanced Consent Mode

  • Before the website renders, analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization are queued as denied. A saved analytics choice is then applied before Google Analytics loads.
  • Automatic GA4 page views are disabled. LinkSports sends one manual page view when the pathname changes and does not resend the current page when consent changes.
  • Page locations, paths, and same-site referrers are normalized to route templates. Query strings, fragments, verification/session tokens, IDs, and slugs are removed; unknown paths become /not-found.
  • Custom GA4 events and every Clarity event remain blocked unless analytics consent is granted.

Cloudflare edge measurement

  • An edge visit is a referer-based entry observed by Cloudflare; it is not the same as a GA4 session or user.
  • HTTP requests include document, image, script, stylesheet, and other asset requests, so request counts will be higher than page views.
  • Cloudflare may sample results. LinkSports stores the reported sampling interval beside each daily snapshot so the admin dashboard can disclose sampled data.
  • The collector uses completed São Paulo local days and can fill missing dates for up to 90 days when Cloudflare retention permits.

Retention and service providers

LinkSports retains normalized Cloudflare daily snapshots for up to 400 days. Google and Microsoft process analytics data under their respective service settings, terms, and retention controls. Operational request data processed by Cloudflare is subject to Cloudflare’s services and applicable agreements. LinkSports may revise this policy when providers or configurations change.

Your controls

Use the banner to accept, reject, or customize analytics. You can reopen the same controls from the footer or Privacy Center and withdraw a previous grant. Necessary browser storage and Cloudflare edge measurement are not switched off by the analytics preference.
